Tiana
Meet Tiana, our passionate and skilled groomer at The Dog Spa, bringing expert dog grooming to Arlington. Tiana, the animal lover, had a strong passion for animals that was ignited from very far times, from childhood zoo visits, and later through a veterinary assistant course, which due to the pandemic, had to be studied online. But her career really started surging when she began working with District Dogs Navy Yard, where she, of course, continued to feel a huge affinity with the trade. She underwent heavy training under the master stylist Myeshia with lots of grooming techniques that included creative coloring, making her a unique professional in this field. These days, she has found herself working between National Landing (Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat) and Navy Yard (Fri), giving anything from standard cuts to anyone walking through the door to stylized treatments. That is the dedication with which Tiana approaches the work of bonding with the dog and at the same time giving expert training to the dogs. We are your best shot at meeting all your Arlington dog grooming needs.
Syndey
Meet Syndey, one of our fabulous groomers here at District Dogs, serving the National Landing community in Arlington, VA. Syndey has found herself working in the dog grooming field due to the many experiences with canines in countless environments, and her love for the animals. From the starting position as a kennel attendant in a county animal shelter to a kennel tech at an emergency animal hospital, caring for upwards of 150 dogs each and every single day, she was able to gain as much knowledge as she now has about canine behavior and needs.
Professional training for dog grooming was offered at an opportune time just after her high school, and at this point, the full-time career in improving the welfare of dogs through professional grooming services began. Sydney specializes in grooming puppies, more so those who are introduced to a grooming environment for the first time, adding value to make the new experience more comfortable and pleasurable.
Central to Sydney’s belief is that grooming with the stylist might help build a strong relationship between the pet parents and the dogs. The focus is on the fact that all dogs do need proper care of the skin and coat, irrespective of how much or how little maintenance their skin and coat require. Sydney is committed to delivering top grooming services that take care of the skin and coat of each canine client.
One of the most memorable and rewarding experiences in her career came with an elderly Maltese mix by the name of Biscuit. Relearning to walk following intense spine surgery, Syndey gave all the time and careful grooming needed while laying on the pup’s side. Over time, it was a joy to witness Biscuit regain mobility and run around the salon independently.

I recently moved to the DMV area and needed a place to board my dog for the holidays. I came across District Dog National Landing and I will always take my dog here now for overnight stays to include daycare. My dog is usually dramatic and shy but he immediately fit in and has slept for three days straight after picking him up! The staff are amazing and will fit your dog's needs in without an issue! I saw other complaints that the dogs were unsupervised or in a tight space. I can say I watched the cameras religiously to make sure my pup was taken care of. They were booked for the holidays and there was plenty of room for the dogs to play and the staff rotates between the play areas. This is the place to go!
